Design Thinking Approach

I follow a user-centered design process that emphasizes research, iteration, and validation. Each project begins with understanding user needs and ends with testing solutions.

User Research

Survey Results - Comic-Con Experience

Conducted user research to understand what interactive activities people want at events. Survey of 27 respondents revealed key insights:

Key Findings

  • 59.3% prefer interactive workshops or panels
  • 59.3% want gaming competitions
  • 44.4% enjoy trivia games or quizzes
  • 37% interested in scavenger hunts
  • 33.3% like live polls and participation

Design Implications

  • Gamification is highly valued by users
  • Interactive elements increase engagement
  • Variety of activity types needed
  • Mobile-first approach for conventions
  • Social/competitive features important

Concept Ideation

Scavenger Hunt App Concept

Based on research findings, developed a concept for an interactive scavenger hunt app for Comic-Con Holland.

Elemental Challenge - Game Concept Sketches

Hand-drawn storyboards and room designs for an "Elemental Challenge in the Labyrinth" game concept. These sketches explore different visual approaches and gameplay mechanics.

Design Thinking

The sketching phase is crucial for exploring ideas quickly before committing to digital design. These rough concepts helped define the visual language: ancient Greek columns, elemental fire symbols, and mysterious labyrinth aesthetics.

Created realistic testing scenarios to evaluate the scavenger hunt app concept with real users.
